as per Apple:

"Playing videos purchased on the iTunes Store requires a Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or 1.0GHz PowerPC G4 or faster processor"

my dual 867 MDD is faster than a single CPU 1.0 GHz G4, but will iTunes 8 allow videos to be played? If not, does this only apply to purchased videos or all videos?

thanks, don't want to have to fire up terminal to fix this oversight by Apple. They're really trying to phase out the ole' PPC these days.

no, HD vids are said to require an intel

They've been saying that for a while, and I run a PowerBook 667 (DVI) and sometimes have no problems watching videos, and other times I have problems. I think it is to cover their bases, so use at your own risk.
