Can anyone help me out and make the background of 6 icons I have transparent? It would help me out a ton.

Edit: scroll down.

i downloaded them and all of these icons already have a transparent background

how does it look like when you use it to theme your phone? have a screenshot?

your problem might not be because the icons don't have a transparent background, but rather the icon mask that is being used

How would I go about getting rid of the icon mask? Thanks for looking into this btw. It shows up with like a translucent black shadow.

Install Icon Masks by ideaprison on cydia and apply the different icon masks in winterboard

There's a ton of then and I hope one fits the shape of your icon

Whoa, this app is awesome. Thanks for introducing it to me. I'm going to have to make my icons larger (I use 75% on springtomize 3) than I'd like, but it should work.

Edit: I changed the icon size and it doesn't help. The translucent black background still shows up. I don't get why, it never did this on ios6. Weird thing is it only shows up on the phone, mail and safari icons.

can you take a screenshot of some icons having no problem while others have the problem?

It's a little harder to see with the dark background, but I took off the Masked icon theme. The black squares are around the SMS, Mail, Phone, and Safari icons. It'd be nice for these to be a little higher res too...but I'm just concerned with getting the shadows out.

I feel like iOS6's jailbreak had a theme that hid these shadows. ios7's winterboard definitely comes with less themes.

to be honest, i'm not entirely sure why it's doing that
