Can anyone still force quit by holding down....

...the home button. To force quit an app all you needed to do was hold down the home button but i seem to have lost this functionality. Am i the only one

The way to do it now is hold down the sleep/wake button until the "Slide to turn off" pops up once that does then hold down the home button for 6 sec
