Can apple install SSDs?

if you alrdy own the MacBook you better do it yourself, it's very very easy, and if you've ever pulled an HD all you need is the small screwdriver.

And for your hard drive you're going to need a #00 philips screwdriver and a T6 torx driver. I bought mine at home depot.

To answer your question, I don't believe they will install an aftermarket SSD to your laptop. They will install an "Apple SSD" though if I am not mistaken.

In any case you ought to just install it yourself. Simple process, takes 10 minutes.
