Here's the situation:
I have a sizable apple store credit after returning an iPad 2.
The Apple Store issued a store credit because I did not have the receipt.
I would like to sell that store credit, probably for a little less than face value.

NOTE: I have not scratched the PIN number off the back.

Here are the questions:

1. Can someone else spend my store credit (after they buy it from me)?
2. If I sell the store credit to a stranger, is there a way to safely do this? I don't want to get ripped off and I want to buyer to feel comfortable too.
3. Can the store credit be verified without scratching off the PIN on the back?

Thanks!

How about meeting buyer at an Apple store and have an employee there verify the amount on the card in front of buyer?

Yes at the very least, I could meet the buyer at the Apple Store... albeit a less flexible option since I'm 1 hr from the Apple Store.

Is there any "safe" way to do this online, or in person, but not at the Apple Store?
