can apple tv stream video from ipad from any website?

colleague asking about getting one and ive never used one.

he watches uk tv on www.filmon.com either on the app or on safari.

will he be able to stream that to an apple tv if he buys one?

if not is he best to buy a chromecast?

any video that plays in safari can be airplayed to apple tv

as far as the app, it has to have airplay implemented to work
