Can Automator help??

I have quark pages that I need to run postscripts and then through distiller to make a printer ready pdf file. Thats all fine....All of my pages depending on whether they are even or odd, singles or spreads all get the same set up. Can Automator make this easier for me?? I can initiate the start and stop of the script. the script would need to open the quark page use a predefined print stlye and print the postscript to the watched folder and distiller will do the rest.
Any thoughts...
