Can cell service be shut off for certain times of the day?

Hi guys- I know not the typical question but I feel someone is lying to me and wanted to get your opinions.

My question: is it possible to set up with your cell provider ( all the majors in the USA) to have your phone disabled from say 8-3 weekdays?

Never heard of this and could use some input from people who have experience.

it is possible I am sure to write an application which could turn on airplane mode for the desired schedule

It would have to be user side not network provider

If your jailbroken there is a program called auto3g that may help you with your query.
