If you performed the "Erase all content and settings" function on your phone...let's say...5 times within an hour...will that cause issues with your phone? Can the OS become corrupt, or is there a safeguard in place there?

Does anyone know? I just want to know if I should do a clean, full image install with iTunes or if you guys think the OS is still in tact. Not sure what happens under the hood for this.

P.S. please don't ask why I did that many erases...it's a long story

I don't think it'll do any harm. Apple won't put a feature that will "damage" your phone if you use it, even if very often.

If you think it might have(I don't think it would BTW) you can always do a DFU restore where the latest iOS will be downloaded from Apple.
