They seem to clip hard on the edges of the phone. I know that, theoretically, plastic shouldn’t scratch SS, but I’ve read some stories about it happening, so I just wanna be sure. Maybe I should cover the sides of the phone with blue tape before applying it? What do you think? Any other suggestions?

Thank you.

The only time I have seen plastic scratch SS, is when it was plated. If it's solid SS, it shouldn't affect it at all. That being said, it's your phone, that you spent money on. If you feel it's worth throwing some tape on there, just to ensure nothing happens to it, there's really no reason to enquire here.

What I did was steamed up a bathroom and put the screen protector on in the bathroom. Worked great, went on the first time and no dust got under the screen protector. Just make sure you wipe down the sides before you attach the alignment tray.
