Can estimated delivery dates change? Bear with me!

I ordered a 32GB iPhone 5S in silver from Apple.com and it states it ships in 1-3 business days. Estimated Delivery says September 27th - October 1st.

That would mean it would most likely ship as soon as Monday the 23rd and as late as Wednesday the 25th. Makes sense.

I paid for the $10 expedited 2-3 business day shipping so shouldn't estimated delivery be more like September 25th to 30th?

Say I got lucky and it shipped Monday the 23rd at 2 Business days wouldn't that arrive at the earliest Wednesday, September 25th?

Then the worst case scenario would be shipping Wednesday, September 25th at 3 business days would make the latest delivery date Monday, September 30th.

Am I missing something here?

Most of the time shipping times are conservative. These phones are coming from china so we shall see. I got 1-3 days before shipping and bet it will ship sometime this weekend for delivery sometime next week.

Hope so, here in the UK it went straight to 7-10 business days regardless of the time you ordered.

Estimated = Guess.
