Can Facetime be used on Iphone and Imac?

I have been using Skype to communicate with my girlfriend overseas, but Skype call and video quality simply SUCKS.

We guess more that actually hear what the other person is saying.

We both have IPhones. Mine is 3Gs and she has the new one Iphone 4.

I also have several Macs, while she uses a PC.

Is it possible to connect via Facetime while using a Mac to PC or Iphone4 to Mac?

Is the quality of Facetime calls/videcalls better than that of Skype?

Quality is probably about the same between FT and Skype. Yes you can FT from Mac to an iPhone.

You can buy it now or upgrade to Lion which will have it built in.

You can connect your mac (that being it has a FaceTime camera) to your girlfriends iPhone 4. PC's can't FaceTime

You can connect a Mac that has Face Time with an iPhone 4. The quality really depends on the internet connection, even though my experience has found that generally the Face Time is a little better than Skype.
