Can FCS3 not overwrite FCS2?

Can you install Final Cut Studio 3 alongside Final Cut Studio 2?

Reason I ask is a friend of mine decided to get FCS3 but has a lot of FCS2 projects that we both work on together still. The problem is, I don't have Final Cut Studio 3, so we need certain projects to be in the old format.

Any help/workarounds would be appreciated, thanks.

Try to install them on separate partitions (worked with older versions). To keep things legal in regards to EULA you'll need two full licenses though.

Thanks! I'll have my friend try that. And I won't be installing it - I'm content with FCS2 but my buddy bought FCS3 for some reason, haha.
