Currently I am using iMovie and iDVD on Leopard 10.5.2. I use video editing software for my event company. We put on seminars, make promo videos, and video webinars. I add in a lot of movie clips and music tracks.

Here's my dilemma...iMovie can do a lot and I love Apple for this but it has it's limitations. I can't yet justify to my partners that a $1200 price tag on Final Cut Studio will make a big enough difference in my ability to produce better videos. So will FCE offer me enough benefits over iMovie to invest $200 or do I wait until $1200 doesn't hurt the bottom line as much?

Secondarily I have been able to outsource 75% of our DVD burning but when we're in a pinch I still have to burn a few on an external burner that I bought. Will Roxio Toast 8 add any benefit to my burning operation? I usually will bun 10-20 DVD's a week. Also what compression choices do I have with Toast 8? I can't seem to find this info anywhere.

Thanks to all who read this, I appreciate any feedback.
