Inspired by ForceTouch and some keyboards on phones vibrating as input.
The new shallow keyboard could be thinner, actually no thickness, just a pad. Each key built with a mini ForchTouch, or a whole big one but response much more accurate.
Then, though the keyboard is shallower, feedback is much better

Anyone like it?

People would be complaining severely if the keyboard was any thinner. I'd rather just have an iPad if that were the case.

are you going to start another thread on this same topic?

What I want from Apple is an EASY MAINTENANCE keyboard. If I don't use a membrane, as I do now, the keys would be all greasy and yuky.

Wait, what's an easy maintenance keyboard exactly ? How is a keyboard high maintenance ? Just, you know, clean it ?

How is a keyboard high maintenance?

Mechanical keyboard + someone that eats over their keyboard regularly = one HECK of a mess in about a month...

I've seen them so bad I had to pull out every key and get in there with alcohol and Q-tips, scrub each key INDIVIDUALLY, dry the lot and reassemble.

Not something one typically sees from APPLE keyboards, but still...

OK, but :

- These are not mechanical keyboards
- It's not Apple's fault if people are pigs.

Ok, but:

ThAt was not the point. Of course there is still space around Mac keys, and I do periodically clean mine out... I just don't let my wife use them or they'd probably be unusable:D

That sounds like a personal problem.

Ummm, keyboards and laptops are moveable. If you are a slob then just move the keyboard/laptop out of the target zone.

Of course, bear in mind, that this comment is coming from someone who does not eat over their keyboard but has managed to spill wine, coffee, etc., multiple times over keyboards.

What on Earth do you do around your computer? I don't mean to be unpleasant, but do you wash your hands occasionally?
