Inspired by ForceTouch and some keyboards on phones vibrating as input.
The new shallow keyboard could be thinner, actually no thickness, just a pad. Each key built with a mini ForchTouch, or a whole big one but response much more accurate.
Then, though the keyboard is shallower, feedback is much better

Anyone like it?

Force Touch electronics would require electronics and magnets underneath each key. It would probably be very expensive to implement that and it would draw a lot of power.

I don't think force touch would work all to well for a keyboard. Not unless you want to type really really really slow. Or don't mind pressing down with a lot of "force" with every keystroke.

I tried out the new keyboard on the demo unit at an Apple Store yesterday and I loved it. I really hope they quickly extend it across their product line.

how many threads about this are you going to start?

really sorrry, I did look for the delete button, but did not get it before I went to bed. And I was 'surprised' to see a duplicated thread came out when I submitted a modified one.:(
