can garage band edit out singing from a song

Im trying to edit a song for a project that im doing but i want/need just the instrumental part of the song and not the singing in the background. can garage band do this or some other program? how if so

not possible. There are other threads about this; try search with mroogle.
While you can sort of do it, it causes the music to become distorted. don't waste your time.

But none of them can get all the voice, and the rest will sound muddy. You need the original tracks.
