After all, that's what gmail is, or any online email service. So, can I move files on my harddrive on to gmail?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

There's also Google Docs which you can edit in Internet browser.
And iWorks.com beta, which is free. Hope it will stay free :p

I used to have a Firefox extension called GSpace that did that. I believe they're still around.
I think so too, and it's really easy to use. It's hard to beat if you have the need for uploading large files and can take advantage of the 7.5GB of space currently available with Gmail.

You can also create draft meesages and then attach files as desired.
Yeah, but sometimes the size limitations are an irritant.

Dropbox works great. I like it a lot and use it all the time. I think the free option gives you 2GB, but you can buy more or get more by referring friends. It integrates with Finder too. :)

Thanks for all the replies. So in other words, I can save space on my computer by emailing what I have to my email account or opening them in docs?
