Just be sure to backup your phone. When you restore select to restore from backup (not new phone) and you should be fine.

Yes and then apply jailbreak via redsnow or or any other jb sofwares out there to restore all your JB apps via Cydia.

I used green poison to jailbreak my iphone 4 on 4.2 ok. Search for the key word green poison.
