OK, I have a 32GB iPod touch 2G that has about 8 months worth of apps, settings, blood, sweat, and tears put into it. I have tons of savegames from the games I play, application settings, etc., and I have all of my application icons lined up the way I want them on five pages.

So my question is, can I backup my current iPod touch and restore all of my applications and settings to the 32GB iPhone 3G S that I plan on picking up next week?

I know that iPhone to iPhone restores work, I just wasn't sure about iPod touch to iPhone restores...

I've never done it, but when I restored my iPhone last month, iTunes asked if I wanted to use my iPhone backup or my wife's iPod backup.

That has to be a good sign, right?
