So my I need to reinstall my OS (Tiger) on my MBP but I seem to have lost my disks. My girlfriend has a new MB with Leopard on it and I'm wondering if I can just use her reinstall disks, even though it will upgrade me to Leopard?

dont uprgrade.you'll have problems if you upgrade but in most cases not,but a clean install would be nice, and yes you can use her leopard disk

No, for two reasons:

1) It's against the license agreement
2) It won't work, restore disks are model specific.

I knew number 1, but 2 is good to know as well. Just a shame to have to shell $130 just because I need a reinstall....

Apparently, the disks are model-specific, so it won't work unless you've also got a Macbook.

Who cares if it against license agreement, you think anyone takes that in consideration
