I'm not the happiest iOS user atm (especially since I got the Nexus 4) but instead of converting just yet, I decided to try and make the most of what I got.

I have a 3rd gen iPad (jailbroken), a 16 GB Sandisk flash drive, a third party OTG Cable (30 pin to USB) and a USB extension cable (USB male at one end and USB female at the other)

By just plugging in the pen drive to the OTG cable, the iPad says not enough power. A couple of youtube hacks showed it working with a powered USB Hub.
I figured, if I just take the USB extender, and attach another USB male end which I plug into the iPad's wall charger, will my pen drive be read? (My iPad's jailbroken, and has iFile)

If I try and draw out what I was thinking about, it'll be something like this (ignore the periods)

iPad ---- USB OTG ---- USB Y cable ------- USB
...........................................--------- wall charger

Will this work or will I just end up frying my pen drive?
