Sure you can, just put the dvd in the drive, drag your mp3s to it and burn away.
 
that's not to say that any DVD/CD player is going to read it, even if it reads MP3 CDs, tho some might. But it will always work like a DVD-ROM once it's burned...

You can make it as a data DVD. iTunes will not make an MP3 DVD, only an MP3 CD.

I am making data DVDs to bakcup my MP3 collection so I don't have to go through my CD collection again if I have a disk failure.
