I have an AT&T family account. One of the numbers is due for an upgrade. My account is not due for an upgrade. Will I be able to buy a phone on the "upgradable" account and then when I receive the phone transfer my number to it? Hope the question makes sense...

Thx...

Yep you should be able to do that as long as the person who's line you're using for the upgrade doesn't mind not getting their upgrade. But AT&T will have no problem with it.

Great to hear....Wife won't mind at all...She will get my hand-me-down 4s.

Last questions. With the new nano-sim will that mean I have to get the sim changed out at AT&T? Is it preactiviated to a specific phone number?

Im not completely familiar with how AT&T does it, but I believe thay you would have to go into the store to get them to do the swap and get you a nano sim that would be associated with your number instead of your wife's.Somebody who knows more about it can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
