i was looking up prices on line and seen the a 32gb iphone 4 from the apple website is $300 while the same phone from apple/Ireland is e700 (nearly $900). so obviously i was wondering if i can buy one from America and run it here on the o2 network.

somehow i doubt it would be that easy. i am assuming if its possible at all i would have to unlock or jailbreak it.

It would be locked to AT&T and you'd have to sign up for a 2 year contract to get it for $300.

Correct. Then you could pay the Early Termination fee.

If your Service Commitment includes the purchase of certain specified Equipment on or after June 1, 2010, the Early Termination Fee will be $325 minus $10 for each full month of your Service Commitment that you complete.

Still cheaper then buying it from the Apple Store Ireland I suppose.
