Can I buy from eBay UK with a prepaid Mastercard?

Hi people. I wish to buy an eMac from eBay UK, but I do not have an eBay or PayPal account, but I do have a prepaid Virgin Mastercard.

I know eBay allow you to make "trial" purchases, two I think, up to a value of £500 though PayPal, but does anyone here have any experience with eBay UK, having paid using a prepaid Mastercard/credit card?.

I need to know as soon as possible, as the guy has held the item until Monday for me, and I need to order then.

if it uses a 16 account number and a 3 digit security code on the back of the card it works just like a credit card so long as the funds are available. If credit cards are accepted by the seller on e-bay then it should work.

No you missed the point. I know I can use it as a mastercard as normal, but I wish to send payment by paypal to the seller, using my card as the paypal funding source.

Oh and I have just realised I AM registered with paypal, along with my card.
