I set appointment to pick it up on 21st noon at Apple 5th Avenue in New York City due to a scheduled all day event. Since that event was cancelled can I still pick up the phone on 20th? Do i need an appointment? I couldnt change the designated day on the Apple site.

I *think* they will treat you as a walk-in and let you get your phone. I am not positive, though. If they do let you in it may take quite a while, especially if you show up in the morning.
I would chat with them first because they may treat you as a walk-in .
Thought iPhone 16 sales were low.... We will see. I had no issues getting day one when iPhone popularity was high.

Hi, I went at 9pm and there was a winding line of about 100 people. I think there were walk-ins or people trying to get support. There as a separate line where security just let in certain people (not sure if they had appointments to pick up their phone). Asked apple guy if they could do anything and he said come back tommorow because they may not even have your phone out yet. I didn't press as I did not have the confirmation email or status update. Now that it says ready to pick up I might go at 7am if anyone can confirm they let you arrive earlier than expected.

Got the phone today and using a Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit case from Amazon. I do NOT like the gap where the camera button on the right side causes a small canyon where my hands have pressure from the edges of the case. It just feels weird. I took the case off and it feels much better to hold using either hand. Anyone have this issue?
