Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there was anyway I can change the name of my Audio Devices so I can select them more easily. Ive attached a photo for reference.

Basically you will see in the photo that one of the titles is "Line Out" and I Would like to rename that to "Creative Speakers"

Anyway you should get the idea of what I'm trying to accomplish. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks!

Thank You, I know how to take screen shots, I use "Grab it" from it App Store. lol

Sorry, was confused, as that screenshot looks like a photo.

Found a solution.

Go to Applications / Utilities / Audio MIDI Setup and on the bottom left of that window is a plus icon.
Click that and select "Create Aggregate Device" and once that is done, it shows up on the bottom of the list. Double clicking its name will let you rename it.
And on the right you see, when your new "Device" is selected, all the audio devices you can select. Choose wisely there and be done with it.
That however will only add your custom sound output to the list and not remove the LineOut one.
And as I just tested it, I couldn't change volume when using that device.
