Last week I loaded Mavericks on my Macbook Pro Retina. I'd like to try using Safari instead of Chrome and Firefox now that it's supposed to be so energy efficient. But I have a basic problem that keeps me from using it.

The problem is that I can barely read the Tabs lettering to know what page is in the tab (This trend of low contrast text/background is driving me crazy). Black lettering on medium gray is hard for some of us to read.

So, is there any way to change the background/text on the tabs? Skins? Extensions? Anything?
