Can I connect my Xbox 360 to my macbook pro monitor?

I was wondering if I could buy a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable to play Xbox through my macbook pro monitor.
Sorry if I sound like an idiot and this is really obvious, I just got my macbook.

No, the Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter, or Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, only go into one direction, from Thunderbolt / Mini DisplayPort to HDMI.
Also the MBP does not have a video in, for that you need a capture device like the Intensity Extreme and the appropriate software.
