Can I continue to use iCloud when jailbroken?

My iPhone 4 is on iOS 5.0.1 and I'm using iCloud to backup my data...

Is it safe for me to jailbreak or should I switch to iTunes backup first? Is it okay to use iCloud when jailbroken? What do you think?
