OK, it's not Monopoly money, it's a bunch of AirMiles I have. Problem is I have thousands and thousands of them - all in 1, 2, 5 and 10 mile denominations.

I have a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner and I'd love to find some sort of counting program that will recognise I've scanned in 2,321 One Mile notes for example.

Each note does clearly say in the same place on each note its value. So I guess I'm looking for some sort of image/text recognition program that probably has some sort of AppleScript/Automator extension that will enable it to recognise the numbers and count them. Or maybe there's a ready built solution out there.

It's probably easier to count them the old fashioned way, but if there's a solution I'd love to hear about it!

Good luck. I gave up looking for something that would reconcile all my scanned financial statements for me. :D Great scanner, but I think you'll have to do the math yourself.
