Inline attachments in Apple Mail are bugging me. Without getting into a debate about the rights/wrongs of them being inline, simple question - is there an effective way of stopping it and all items being sent as attachments to the email and not inline?

im not sure if this does it or not:
Mail / Edit / Attachments / Always insert attachments at end of message

Yeah I tried that - it puts them at the end of the email, but still within the body of the email rather than just as an attached file.

I believe this is dependent how the email sender crafts their message. If s/he puts the images inline to begin with, they will appear inline for the recipient. The email arrives with instructions in the header lines to display the images inline.

Gizmo, this just iconize attachments in senders Apple Mail. Has nothing to do with disabling inline attachments in receivers side.

Does anyone know a way to make the Mac Mail app not put attachments inline and instead attach them like Outlook does?

A couple of my customers have moaned about this meaning I'm currently having to use Outlook for Mac when I'd much rather use the default Mail app.
