I know this question has popped up in the past, but seems like nobody ever has answered it. I have a G4 Powerbook 400 (Mercury), which, through a cruel twist of fate, lost its screen (which is the only reason I was able to get it). It literally had the entire lid removed, which would be fine, but it splits the VRAM between the external monitor and the missing LCD. Is there a way to completely disable the LCD without using the lid?

Edit: Just realized that I posted this in the wrong section. Sorry, all!

If you can make it believe that the lid is closed and use and external keyboard and mouse it will turn off the missing screen and devote all the video ram to the external display. Not sure how to go about this though!
