i have recorded several tv shows, arrested development, da ali g show, entourage, the sopranos, friends and south park. and am running out of space. i would like to use iDVD to create dvds such as the ones bought in stores with a menu and chapter selections and able to work in dvd players is it possible? if it matters my videos are all in .avi or .dvr format.

thanks

As long as you can play your videos in Quicktime, iDVD should be able to create DVDs with menus easily. In order to have chapters, you need to add chapter marks. iMovie can do it, but it would probably take a bit too long to import your files into iMovie, add the chapter marks and export the video. Although I have not paid for Quicktime Pro, so I cannot say for sure, but I've read that it could add chapter marks without any import export steps.
