Can I Do This?

i would like the sidebar in my finder window slid all the way to the icons getting rid of thier names. i have it this way in the picture but everytime i close and reopen the finder window it resets. any way to prevent that?

Yeah, it will only work when you have 1 finder window open. When you close that window right away it will stay.
