Can I downgrade from 4.2.9 to 4.2.8 without SHSH Blobs saved?

Hey guys,

My gf updated my iphone 4 on Verizon to the new OS 4.2.9 by accident when she sync'd it with iTunes this morning. My jailbreak on 4.2.8 is now gone

Is there any way I can restore/downgrade back to 4.2.8, and then re-jailbreak it?

I tried googling/youtubing for info, but all I read and saw was that I need to have the SHSH Blobs saved (when I had 4.2.8), which I don't.

Is there any way I can downgrade back to 4.2.8 or will I just have to wait till there is a new jailbreak for 4.2.9?

Try running tinyumbrella I don't think apple has stopped signing 4.2.8 yet. Do it as soon as u read this.

Like this comment to get it higher. TO jailbreak 4.2.9, create a custom ipsw from 4.2.8 using snowbreeze. then modify the host file as described in this video. Use the shift technique to select the custom sn0wbreeze ipsw. and then u should be good to go.

Iclarified has all the tutorial you need if it's possible. there are tons of threads about the subject but without saved blobs you can not downgrade!

I have a similar problem, but I have 4.2.8 shsh blobs saved. I need to restore my iphone but every time I do I get error 1013. Anyone else getting this same crap? I am going to try to restore to 4.2.9 and then downgrade, is that a good idea? Right now my phone is unusable.
