can I Download a forum for viewing offline?

I was wondering if it's possible to download an entire forum, for viewing offline.

The reason is I'd like to be able to view a forum and read posts while not connected to the internet, like while on a long plane trip.

If a forum is just too big and it's not practical to download the whole thing, perhaps I could just grab about 50GB and that would be enough to cover recent threads?

Um I doubt it. There's an iPad app for something similar but I think you'd need to print every single thread. I think, even on a long trip, that you can stand to be away ... no?

haha well that was a hypothetical situation... I'm actually interested in copying content from a private forum that has a 7 day trial, then $100/year to join. I'm not interested in posting at this time, so the $100/year doesn't make sense for me at this point - but I' want to do a 7-day trial and then copy all helpful resources to a PDF or something.

Any chance you'll tell us what the forum is, or at least the subject matter? I'm curious to know what kind of forum is worth $100/year...

Keep in mind that by downloading it, you might be violating IP or copyright laws. <shrug>

it's a pro wedding photography forum - all professional photogs and they keep newbies out by requiring a fee

This is a really good idea for a forum of professionals.

Take Yellow's advice, not that you will but you should.
