Hello and thank you for your time.
I've got a 1,1 Mac Pro that has run Yosemite perfectly after I used SFOTT's excellent Terminal-based app via the SFOTT YouTube tutorial. Updates to Yosemite have all worked perfectly. NEVER had a problem. Now that I've got 10.10.5 - the 'El Capitan' update is sitting there waiting for me to download and install. But will it work? Or will it wipe screw-up the whole '32bit.efi' setup that was first created by Piker-Alpha? Can I now install "El Capitan" direct from the App Store? Many thanks.

You can't download and install directly from the App Store, but soon you will. You can still install it though, this thread will help you: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/2006-2007-mac-pro-1-1-2-1-and-os-x-el-capitan.1890435/
