Can I easily convert a whole folder of files from one type to another?

My new accountant has asked for everything to be emailed to him as PDFs.

I've got a folder of over 400 invoices all in Pages format (you know, that format that is completely un-readable to 99% of the world). Is there an easy way to convert them all rather than opening each one and exporting as a PDF?

Have you tried searching for batch convert pages to PDF? Don't know what kind of Pages actions there are in Automator to do this but you can definitely export to PDF with Applescript. Or try another script or app if you can't/don't want to write it yourself.

There's a typo it appears in the link above to Pages to PDF. Just delete the http:// bit.

It looks like a good app.

However, I can't run the program because my security settings only allow apps from the Mac Store and trusted developers... sigh. I'll need to figure out how to bypass that first.

In the mean time, learn about AppleScript. If you have some time you can build your own script.
