Can I exchange the 14" a 16" without returning the 14" until the 16" arrives?

I ordered a BTO MBP 14" on launch day, got it on the first day of deliveries. Now, I'm thinking that I made a mistake by going 14 instead of the 16 and I'd like to, ideally, exchange it versus returning and purchasing a new one. My 14 day window will leave me laptop-less until a new BTO 16" arrives (currently December estimates) if I do a return and purchase a new one. Is an exchange possible?

If you are going to exchange it will need to be done within the 14 day return window. You won’t be able to keep the 14” whilst you wait for the 16” to arrive.

If you have an Apple Store close to you, you might get lucky to find your desired setup for pick up?

Otherwise you are probably out of luck…
