Can I exchange unopened Apple Silicone case from my iPhone XS Max with iPhone 11 Pro Max

I have an unopened XS Max silicone case bought from AT&T. Can Apple store exchange it with the one for 11 Pro Max?
Anyone has similar experience?

Since you bought it at at&t, I highly doubt apple will accept an exchange from a different store
