Hi folks,
Sincere apologies if this is an obvious one. Although I'm IT literate I'm new to Macs.
I would like to be able to run a DHTML (or similar) news ticker, to keep sales staff in our office informed of low stock quantities on a daily basis. I'm trying to do this using an iPad, sending the .txt file to a G5 on the same network using DropCopy, so that the ticker can access the .txt file whether I'm on-site or not.
I only need to be able to send the file one way, from the iPad, and I can do so successfully, however... When I send the file to the desktop of the G5 from the iPad, a new version of the file is created (with _1 added) instead of the file being overwritten.
Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but is there any way I can make the iPad or G5 overwrite the file instead of creating a new one?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, I feel like I've been going round in circles for days trying to look into this. The only mention I can find that's close to this, is in reference to things like Fetch and Transmit where settings such as 'always overwrite files' are mentioned, but I don't seem to be any the wiser!
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! Help! Please!
