Can I Get Away w/ the 64GB AppleTV 4K without THREAD if my HomePod Mini Already Supports It?

My
Home security contract is up in 6 months and it is then when I plan to replace all of my
Home came mead and window security sensors to HomeKit supported devices.

I have a HomePod mini and I know that supports Thread and only the new 128gb Apple TV 4K supports thread now but not the 64GB.

Am wondering if just the HomePod mini in my rather large 3,500 sq ft home can support all of my soon to buy HomeKit compatible devices.

Or if it would be best to get the 128gb AppleTV 4K that supports thread unlike the 64GB model.
