Can I get iChat back?

Has anyone managed to put iChat back onto Mountain Lion. I love the OS but the new messages app just pisses me off. It really sucks. From the app opening default to the messages window and not my buddy list to your history not clearing when you commanw-w the chat window. So, just wondering if anyone has also been frustrated and has tried to put ichat back?

I like the new message app, but it is just buggy. I ALWAYS have unread messages on the icon....even though there are NO unread messages. Anyone else with the problem...fixed in Mountain Lion?!
