Can I get my Imovie data on external re-linked

I have all my Imovie data on an external drive. Then I formated and re-loaded OSX and rememebered that iMovie is a pain when movie data from internal to external. Sure enough, loading iMovie now no longer sees the content on my external.

What do you suppose I do? What was odd is if I go into TimeCapture and look at my old local disk iMovie, it was huge and had a lot of the events, even though I move them through iMove to the external drive.

Not sure what I should do now.
