Can i get my iphone engraved 6 months after i purchased it?

I bought my iphone 6 months ago and didnt get it engraved. I still have the proof of purchase so if i take it back to them would they engrave for free still?

Apple has never offered engraving on the iPhone because of the materials they have used to make them and I believe that doing so (not with Apple) will void your warranty.
