Can i get photos/videos from iPhone to Aperture and sync back lower-res versions?

My photos and videos on my iPhone have reached around 12GB, i'd like to find a way to automatically (if possible) sync them to Aperture and have a lower res version sync back to the phone, so i can reduce the overall size of the Camera Roll contents.

Is this possible at all?
