I've downloaded TextFree and TextNow apps, trying them out. Pretty cool - you have to make a new ID, but I can send/receive SMS for free. Sweet!

I also purchased iRealQuickSMS for $6. But it's not allowing me to select either of the above apps as an Apple SMS substitute. I see that BiteSMS is a selection as an alternate to the Apple SMS app. So my question...

Is it possible to make an app the default app for iRealQuickSMS? Other than BiteSMS?

My goal is to use TextFree, TextNow (or another unlimited app) to send/receive SMS. And I'd _like_ the ability to reply via some quick reply. Have you seen/heard anything like this? Another solution? Much thanks!

I feel like its possible if you do some editing of plists, but I could be totally wrong. Try emailing the dev and see if he can add support or tell you how to do it yourself.

Did anyone ever figure this out? I, too, would like to use bitesms, or quickreply with textfree. Please help.

Google voice give free SMS, and there is an tweak that makes it work in the native messaging app. I believe lets bitesms work.
