I jail broke my phone and saved the 4.0 ssh blobs on tiny umberella...The phone started playing up so restored it, but itunes put 4.0.1 on the phone...I want to take this off as i think this is causing me to loose the internet connection on my wifi in the house...Have to keep putting it on manually...If i can go back how do i do it, this is the first iphone i ever had....Thanks Tony...

As long as you are certain your 4.0 SHSH blobs are saved, then you can downgrade to 4.0 just fine. There are tutorials that will demonstrate how to do this. You need to edit your hosts file, so iTunes looks to Saurik's server to downgrade.

when i open up tiny umberella it says they are there....but as i am new to all this i dont know how to do it...is there a way?

Anothther way to check is to look in Cydia. On the top of the Home-Cydia screen, in green writing, it should show what versions you have saved.

It says this device has SHSHs on file for iphone OS/IOS: 4.0 4.0.1....so how do i go back any help will be appriciated thanks

Sorry my iphone is 3gs 32g, it was on 4.0 saved the blobs but itunes upgraded it to 4.0.1....i am using windows pc....... thanks

what hashes? i used redsn0w to jailbreak 4.0.2. and chose 4.0 but my version still says 4.0.2. im on iphone 3G.

A 3G now needs hashes for firmware 4.0 and 4.0.1

If you followed the directions for Redsn0w, then you are good for a 3G, Just point it at 4.0 (which you did).
4.0.2 for a 3G shouldn't be any problem.
